Xbox One trumps PS4 in bumper month for next-gen consoles

It has been confirmed that the Xbox One sold more units than the Playstation 4 for the month of November in the UK and US, the first time Microsoft’s next-gen console has outsold its Sony rival.

Xbox marketing bigwig Mike Nichols said, “November set a new record for sales of Xbox One, and Xbox One was the best-selling console in the US and UK”.

It was also a good month for Nintendo who announced that the week of Nov. 23 was the biggest single week for their Wii U console since the system launched, with sales up 10 per cent year-on-year.

None of this suggests any immediate problems for Sony however, with the PS4 still commanding a sizeable lead in the next-gen sales war.
